Program

The Adamello-Presanella mountain group, mainly made up of volcanic rock called Tonalite, and the Brenta Dolomites made up of polychrome dolomite will be the setting for this fascinating journey through wild nature and traces of great history. A journey that begins by crossing the places beaten by the White War, where old cannons, military posts and barbed wire blend with the surrounding environment made of granite rocks, vast glaciers and rushing torrents.

ITINERARY DAY BY DAY:

DAY 1

Private transfer from the airport to Pinzolo, Val Rendena. Hotel and dinner.

DAY 2

Meeting at 9.00 in Pinzolo with the guide.

Then transfer by private minibus to the car park at Lake Malga Bissina 1790m, from there you will reach the refuge Val di Fumo 1918m, where you spend the night.

Uphill 170m, downhill 0m

3 hours of walking.

DAY 3

Starting from the Refuge Val di Fumo You reach the Passo delle Vacche located at 2872m and then the Bocca di Conca 2685m before arriving in the early afternoon at the Refuge Carè Alto 2451m where You will spend the night.

Uphill 1000m, downhill 450m

5/6 hours of walking

(Possibility in the afternoon for those who wish to visit some military posts from the 1915-1918 Word War adding 1 hour of walking and approximately 1 hour for the return)

DAY 4

From the Caré Alto refuge 2450m we reach the Altar Pass. From here with a panoramic descent along Val Seniciaga we first reach the Malga Seniciaga, then Malga Germenega. From there You soon reach the beautiful and welcoming Rifugio San Giuliano 1955 m, where You will spend the night.

Uphill 600m, downhill 1100m

7/8 hours of walking. 

DAY 4

From Rifugio San Giuliano You descend along a beautiful route to the town of Carisolo passing through Malga Campo and Malga Diaga.

Accommodation in hotel in Pinzolo.

During the afternoon visit of the Geology museum of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park

Uphill 50m, downhill 1200m

3-4 hours of walking.

DAY 5

Transfer to Madonna di Campiglio, then on foot you enter Vallesinella, and via the Bear path you arrive at Rifugio Vallesinella 1550m. From the refuge you go up to the beautiful Rifugio Tuckett 2272m where You spend the night.

Uphill 900m, Downhill 0m

4/5 hours of walking.

DAY 6

From the Tuckett refuge along an easy path we go up to Passo Grostè 2438m where a splendid panorama will welcome You. After a short break You dive into the splendid descent to the town of Andalo 1000m, passing through Passo della Gaiarda 2242m and Malga Spora 1854m .

This wonderful trek through the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park ends here, the private minibus will be ready to take You back to Pinzolo.

DAY 7

  • High trekking boots with Vibram sole.

• BAD WEATHER: The decision regarding the cancellation of an excursion lies with the mountain guide. Winter courses do not necessarily have to be held in the sun. The mountain guide will evaluate the feasibility of the course and the variation of locations from time to time, also being able to foresee part of the activity in a sheltered environment. In case of total cancellation, a recovery date will be established by the mountain guide. In the event of bad weather during the activities, once the course has started, no refund will be provided. We will look for a sheltered environment where we can carry out manoeuvres.
• FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE: if you are unable to participate in one or more course outings due to personal reasons you will not be able to recover the outing and it will not be possible to obtain a refund.
• FAILURE TO REACH THE MINIMUM NUMBER: if the group of participants does not reach the minimum number, you will be entitled to a refund or you can use the fee for any other event. It’s your choice! Possibility of integrating the missing fee to start the course if all participants wish.
• IMPOSSIBILITY TO FIND TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT FOR RENTAL or INAPPROPRIATE EQUIPMENT: it is not possible to receive a refund if you have not found mandatory technical equipment for rent or your equipment is not suitable. In this case we recommend purchasing new equipment.
• OTHER CAUSES: for any other cause of cancellation on your part you are not entitled to a refund.
• COVID OR OTHER ILLNESSES/INJURIES: a refund is not provided due to COVID, various injuries or other illnesses.

No refunds will be made if a member of the group is unable to continue a lesson due to physical level or learning problems; or if the guide decides to go down for reasons due to the capabilities of the group or the weather. The group agrees to respect the unquestionable judgment of the Alpine Guide and that nothing is owed by the organization.
The appointment is around 9am. (the time is communicated by the mountain guide one or two days before on the whatsapp group based on the weather).
The climb will end after lunch/early afternoon, depending on the group’s progression time; allowing everyone to return home the same day.

The Mountain Guide is the only professional figure authorized to carry out mountaineering lessons, guaranteeing compliance with the highest safety standards. By contacting an Alpine Guide, you make use of a professional trained and trained on all the latest safety standards and who makes his experience, expertise and knowledge of the places available to support you in the path proposed by the internship and above all to evaluate when we are there the conditions for canceling or modifying an outing for safety reasons.
In case of bad weather predicted by the guide the event will be canceled. If the guide decides to confirm the event because he considers a high success rate and sufficient safety conditions with respect to the weather, the cost of the event will not be refundable. No refunds will be made if a member of the group is unable to reach the summit or if the guide decides to descend due to reasons due to the group’s abilities or the weather.
